International Day of the Disappeared

International Day of the Disappeared is on 30 August 2016.

The annual event gives us a chance to recognise the numbers of people still missing through conflict, disaster and migration - and show solidarity with their loved ones.

Although Day of the Disappeared 2015 has now passed, you can still get involved and spread the word about the issue.

Show your support

  • talk about the day and issues on social media, with the hashtag #DayoftheDisappeared; you can find us on FacebookTwitter and more
  • change your profile picture to an empty frame, to mark Day of the Disappeared: just open this icon, right-click to save, and then upload to your social media account.
